Easy to say but harder to do. We all have a price. £1m a year would be difficult for me to say no to. Even more so if I could live in Bahrain and commute.

Mind you, I don't have £250m sat in the bank either. That would make refusing it easier.

Incredibly sad, isn't it? Seeing Formula One sell themselves to Saudi was galling, but football, as most of our favourite sports, going the same way is gutting. Money - it destroys everything!

Give it a few years when something happens and things get sanctioned and they pull the plug on stuff.

Happened with Russia and China who did similar things over years.

The golf thing is funny too.

PIF haven't bought the PGA, they're pumping money into it. The PGA will still want to hold its "not for profit" tax exemption while PIF pump hundreds of millions into it.

A good chunk of the league bought up by state owned businesses including PIF. Wonder if any dodgy dealings between Al Nassr & Newcastle will take place to circumvent FFP?

PIF, coincidentally have bought up the top 4 clubs in the country - their FA clearly don't have the same rules there on conflict of interest in ownerships. Or maybe they do and have been told to shut up by the regime.
