Where will Everton finish 2023-24

As of now, lucky to not finish in the bottom three

In big big trouble if two of the promoted teams surpass expectations. Luton will surely be 20th and cut adrift by October-November so I'm just factoring in two spots in play.

For me it all depends on the start of the season. The perception last season was it was a decent start but it was actually only 2 wins from opening 11 games (would've been 12 if Arsenal away had been in the September) so have to do better especially given some of the home games in opening three months. Don't and it just takes a run of 2-3 defeats and straight into the bottom 3.

It's going to be another struggle, will go for the giddy heights of 14th but that really depends on who comes in at CF and CB as only so many 1-0 wins Dyche will be able to scrape with the present squad.

The positives for us are that Fulham and Wolves will both likely be quite a lot weaker than they were last year. Along with Sheff Utd, Luton and Forest.

It's funny. I was looking at Wolves thinking they had about 12 players given all the ones they released but their squad list on wiki comes to about 30 players!

They've got reasonable experience in pretty much all areas although suspect likes of Raul Jimenez will leave before end of window as he's never been the same since his bad injury.

Their season hinges on how their midfield functions without Neves and whether any of their endless forward players can score more than 5 goals. They did lose Kaladzic on his debut to an ACL so if he can recover I actually think he'll do o.k as he was good in Bundesliga and is strong in the air.

Don't think Lopetegui will be there in May though so that should help as doubt they'll get in a better manager than him, could do a Leeds.

Consensus appears to be a relatively comfortable 10-15th place finish without doing too much in the market.

I think that's probably about right with DCL playing 20-30 games.

Would obviously be massively helpful to bring somebody in who could post 10+ goals. That is easier said than done for any team these days unless you take a lot of punts on youth from outside the Premier league... or alternatively can pay the real top level fees and wages

My way too early prediction that probably won't hold up is that there are again going to me a lot of teams in relegation contention, which helps us out. We very well may have some moments where it gets tight but I don't anticipate the same final day battle we had this past season. Luton making the Prem is a huge plus for us (I hope).
