I keep saying 9th, which some thought pessimistic when we were sitting second, but we're slip sliding away to seventh now and it doesn't look too down in the mouth. There's nothing in it, four points from the top. All the more reason for Moshiri to back Magnifico and speculate to accumulate. He's not risking his money with feckless gamblers like Martinez, Koeman, or Silva now. It'll be galling if Mosh is stood there in June with a statuette of Bully Allardyce in his hand and Jim Bowen whispering "Here's what you could have won" from the grave as we finish a creditable fifth two points off the CL thanks to Brands's inability to work to warm himself in January.

I don't think we have a hope of top 4 tbh. We don't have the depth or enough quality. We're on the right track and Europe is very attainable though, and I'd be happy with that

Really? Any day they lose is a happy day Southampton are level with us we're 4 off the top after 16 games. It's very compact so 7th or 2nd it's a snickers not a sprint

They've won the CL & PL last two seasons and looked pretty much invincible.

At this stage I honestly couldn't give a toss what they do or dont do mate I just want us to finish as high as possible and get back into European Football which is where a club of our size simply has to be.

Regardless of where we do finish up.

Currently its been way above any of our wildest dreams.

Sure we have the people who think we should win every game, but we find ourselves in a pack of 10 teams all separated by 7 points, we have won 9 from 16, its a very good outcome so far for me.

Things could of course be better, but we have every chance of doing something worthwhile.

The season has been odd so far but the table is starting to take a more familiar look this last couple of weeks.
We havent looked convincing even when we have been picking up points leaving me to believe we have overachieved with the players available for Carlo to pick from, therefore top 4 talk is pie in the sky stuff that will only lead to disappointment.

However it is clear we are a better outfit than last season due to the new additions and the gaffer doing what he does best so a significant improvement on last season is both realistic and expected.
I’m going for 6th or 7th although with no reinforcements to the squad this month could result in 8th or 9th...
