Which summer signings were a mistake?

Sigurdsson for me. For the price we paid, the time we wasted, and with seemingly no idea on where or how to play him, he was a complete waste. Add to that the fact that he has been as disappointing as anyone so far save for 1 spectacular but ultimately bizarre goal, and the fact we bought 2 players to play in similar roles beforehand, and for me, he has been the biggest mistake. We'd have been better off spending that money on one or several of the other positions we are desperately short in... Centre Back, both full backs, striker and winger.

I guess time will tell, but spending the whole of the Lukaku money on Sigurdsson, Klaassen, Rooney and Vlasic who basically all play in the same position just seems like a complete waste.

We already had Davies and signed Rooney. We should have then spent our time going after a left sided defender to pair with Keane and a true striker. Klassen, Siggy, Sandro, Martina, all useless to us. And we already had players that could do a job. Lookman has barely played? Why? Kenny has barely played until recently. Davies is in and out when he should be in there every week no matter what.

This is what happens when you hire a manager with no long term vision. Short term outlooks create poor decisions.

Up to now they've all been total bollocks with maybe Pickford being the consistent mediocre exception and Rooney having one or two decent games. All my fears when we were signing unproven and unestablished Premier League players from no mark clubs for brewsters are being realised at the moment but sometimes it takes even good players time to settle in and find their feet so I wouldn't be writing anyone off or calling them a mistake at this stage. Not signing a forward who can score goals to replace Lukaku was however criminal.

i think we didnt buy wrong players, we just screwed up it in the end.

Koeman is blaming the board. Board feels that they let Koeman down and are now (maybe unvoluntary) backing him up -atleast in puplic.

Im gutted that Moshiri hasnt been ruthless with him. This is a mistake cause things won be getting better. Fundamental fault is now clear. Koeman isnt for Everton and players + staff sense this. It's painfully obvious when you watch Everton play.

Kick him out and start season from the scratch.

Unless we are bought buy someone who can spend £250m every season and make us attract the best coaches and players we are never going to be great again.
I agree with that, but atleast if we got a manager that kept us where we were in Martinez's first season, he achieved that on Moyes's defence then in Martinez's second season that went pear shaped and look where we are now even worse and Martinez is managing probably the best international team of individual's in Europe and our once star player.
