Which summer signings were a mistake?

The mistake was who we didnt sign, not who we did.

Not got a problem with any of the new lads, IF, played/rotated in a half decent way.

But unfortunately, non are Rom, or even Rom Lite, and no CH have a left foot.

I honestly think Davy will come good and he seems a lot more flexible than Gylfi. So on that id say Rooney was the biggest mistake.

Like many on here, I was quite happy with the signings we were making in the summer. Looking at our performances since, we obviously could have spent better, but which of the signings do you think were a mistake?

I'm going to go with Klassen. Signing him as well as Sigurdsson just seems like a waste of £24m and should have gone towards a CF instead.

Klassen has been a waste so far and Sig isn't much better...probably worse actually for what we spent on him. I always thought what we paid for him was too much. Lastly, I never really could see why we needed midfielders versus forwards or defenders.

Oh, how could I forget about Martina! Awful! I think Sig will come around but I'm not so sure about Sandro or Klaasen. Rooney has played better than all of them except for maybe Keane. Pickford has been Ok and should only get better...he is still rather young.

Klaassen was just unnecessary. I do think he's the type of dutch player that CAN adjust to the speed of the EPL as his first touch is terrific. But he's only necessary if one or more of our CMs go down. Siggy is just a matter of time. He's clearly getting better in the second half of games, soon it will be the entire game, but the lack of movement around him is shocking.

Not signing a CB and CF though was by FAR the biggest mistake. Think most of us knew this right after the deadline.

Let's not panic........but far the worst was not getting a striker.....

We need a goalscorer.....without a striker we are feeble & lack lustre & when we go a goal down we struggle....

If we scored first things could be so different players would gain confidence & the team would play better.....although please not Andy Carroll he is too injury prone.....,Jamie Vardy would be cool....
