This thread cheers me up when I am down, the humour in here is phenomenally stupendous.

Please keep this threa going for as long as you can ladies and gents.

I'd vote for Matthew Green, he's done wonders with the Turks and Caicos Islands.

After Schalkes performance last night what about another Roberto? Di Matteo?

He has Premiership experience and did well at Chelsea.

I like Howe a lot but would really like a manager with experience of winning things as player or manager at the very highest level. I want a winning mentality at Everton.

But not Paul Lambert.

Agree with this, if Martinez goes then we need to think bigger and go for a manager who knows how to win things.

It amazes me in the Premiership how few managers have actually won European trophies or league titles. It's no wonder English sides can struggle to pick up European trophies when the people in charge have no experience of doing it anywhere else.

With the massive influx of money coming in to the league now set to increase, I expect more and more managers to want to come over to these shores and pick up the cash. Outside of Bayern, Barca and Madrid there wont be many sides with more finances than the Premiership clubs, so why have some no mark in charge who has never won anything and just steadies the ship, or is learning his trade.

If Martinez can't turn this around and he goes, then I hope Everton think big and get a good manager in charge who has experience of winning things as a manager or player (or both), as this also helps command the respect of the players.

Lets face it, if a Laudrup or De Boer starts talking to you about football you listen regardless of who you are. With all due respect if an Eddie Howe, Roberto Martinez or Malky Mackay or someone of that ilk starts talking, a lot of players will think, 'who is this guy?' We saw it at Man Utd with Moyes.

Koeman was getting instant results at Southampton not just because of his ability and experience but also because he commands instant respect from the players because of his achievements within the game. Laudrup started the same at Swansea and even won a trophy on the lowest budget in the league.

All I know is this teams position as a top 7 club will be gone if Martinez stays. The writings on the wall for me and he is incapable of change. Gonna be a sad day seeing a talented squad assembled on such a limited budget be dismantled over seasons of mid table finishes.

I would want any of De Boer, Laudrup, Bilic or Tuchel

Indeed mate. It's a tough one, as there are some herrendous exceptions to the rule. Lambert for example.

And I hate to use Koeman as an example, as its effing Saints and it's only his first season here. And we know too well how a second season can go.

But I just want a winning mentality at Everton. I think it's why I'm a little uneasy with ex players coming back. Yes it's nice as they know the place but getting players back from the 90's when we were utter plop. Not sure on that myself.

I don't know the answer really. I hope Martinez can sort it out to be honest as arguably the risk of getting someone new in could be worse.

I would not want Bilic he has done nothing club wise, Eddie Howe is not good enough and not ready for a big club.
We need to be looking for a winner, Frank De Boer is the one to go for a class act also got a great backroom team.
And think he would be in boys pen Bills reach money wise, all pie in the sky as Roberto will still be here next season..

Isn't it funny though when you look at how poor Martinez was at Wigan that some people are terrified of losing him, whilst at the same time were made up moyes left despite having a proven track record of having us top 7.

Sacking Martinez and replacing him with anyone (realistic) apart from De Boer and Tuchel would be a waste of time.

If he can't turn it around, on the plus side I think Everton are an attractive prospect for a manager. Huge history, talented young squad, lots of freedom, finances on the up.
