Sacking Martinez and replacing him with anyone (realistic) apart from De Boer and Tuchel would be a waste of time.

If he can't turn it around, on the plus side I think Everton are an attractive prospect for a manager. Huge history, talented young squad, lots of freedom, finances on the up.
Is that the Thomas Tuchel who currently has Mainz 6th from bottom in the Bundesliga and 6 points off relegation?

IF Martinez is getting the sack sooner rather than later, am I the only one that would love to see Big Dunc finishing the season as caretaking manager?

He'd kick the hell out of everyone that's underperforming.

That Thomas Tuchel sounds ok then doesn't he? Walks out on his contract and sticks his feet up for a year.

Yes mate, Because that all you need to be a good manager, Just look how great Roy Keane's career in the dug out has panned out

He wanted to move and Mainz refused to let him out of his contract unless another club payed 15m for him, and then hired another manager anyway. So he's not allowed to manage anyone else until July this year.

Edit: if it helps your defensiveness at all, I'd rather keep Martinez for now and give him more time. This is just in case.

If we were to sack Martinez and get a new manager in, we'd have to hire another young manager with potential. As we couldn't afford a proven manager who's won honours at the highest level.

So with that in mind, what young manager would want to come to Everton in the knowledge that the last young manager we hired and vowed to give time was binned off after 2 years?

If he is to get sacked needs to be right at then end of the season to give the new manager time and stop players leaving

We have only had 2 managers in 14 years.
There would be a lot of managers who would love to come here

Any decent manager young or old thinks: "Everton? Didn't the last manager give them their best ever PL season and then they sacked him the following year?. I think I'll swerve them".
