Spurs sack managers all the time yet are always attracting big names, Newcastle are a joke of a club with no money, idiot fans and a bad owner yet De Boer said he was interested when pardew left. Don't underestimate the lure of managing a PL side right now.

All this scaremongering over martinez is like a lousy husband saying to his wife after years of neglect and disappointment "yeah go on and leave you'll never find anyone else who wants you"
For the money Spurs spend, they regularly underachieve.

Newcastle have been relegated and I can't remember the last time they finished in the top 5. Constantly sacking managers is not very helpful.

To me it is more like after the initial honeymoon stage of a relationship, reality kicks in that it isn't one big holiday. You can either deal with it responsibly or throw your toys out of the pram.

Spurs will attract managers because they'll get money to spend and they're a big London club. Newcastle employ absolute donkeys.

Everton have one thing going for them manager attraction-wise: stable environment for them to work in.

If Martinez is sacked after two seasons having done wonders in the first season, what manager worth their salt is going to touch this club with a sh1tty stick?

Be assured, only the mediocre, unproven and desperate will come next.

Spurs have money, mate. They can afford to bin off a manager if he doesn't bring instant success.

All those above options are terrible. Wouldn't want any of those in charge of our club and I can't think of anyone out there to be honest.

Intrigued by the raving about Tuchel.

I don't know much about him, but am I right in thinking that he did well with a load of young players at Mainz?

If so, we don't have tons of young top players. We have some brilliant ones obviously. But not loads.

His background was in youth coaching before he got the Mainz gig, so he's happy to work with them. He didn't have a ton of good ones either. His best season they finished 5th or 6th and he had Holtby and Schurrle to work with but they were the only notable ones IIRC.

Tuchel is the new Messiah for the plotters. They've got a name to go with now. He's done **** all like.

the fact remains for someone managing in somewhere like germany (Tuchel) Netherlands (De Boer) or Turkey (Bilic) a move to everton would see them earning more money than at their current club, they would have just as much to spend as those clubs if not more with the TV Cash, and sadly for us offer them a platform for the elite clubs to spot them On a bigger stage.

They would be foolish to not come here and they would. De Boer isn't gonna turn down everton because he thinks in 3 years time he MIGHT get an offer from a better club.

They're after success to get them that top job: having cash at Everton (much less to spend than at other clubs our size, might I add) is balanced out by others having that same cash injection from tv revenue. There is no advantage to be had spending wise so that's a moot point. They'll have seen people like Laudrup and Koeman come over here and bang their heads against the wall without any chance to get real success. Spurs can attract that type in, we cant. Not in a million years. And to be honest, they're unproven anyway. I like Bilic, but could he really cope with the week to week demands of this gold fish bowl over here? Imagine him being calm in relations with Kenwright over investment. Never in a million years.

We'd get someone like Howe...at best.

We are limited to the type of manager we could attract.

Martinez fitted Bill's agenda perfectly and I can see why. Was hungry for success, wanted to make the next step up, had actually won something and wanted to prove himself at a bigger club.

These sort of managers are not ten a penny.

Eddie Howe obviously fits into that category, without actually having won anything or worked in the premier league.

I was very happy when we appointed Martinez and on the strength of 1 good season and 1 bad one, he deserves to start next season in charge and deserves the chance to make amends for the complete balls up he has made this season. I would give him until the end of October though to get it right, then after that if poor results continue it's adios amigo ;)

Pochettino was here one season and has just got himself the Spurs job mate, Rodgers got the RS gig over his work at Swansea, martinez was touted as Wengers long term successor after last season and no doubt Koeman will be in line for a top job after this season.

The premier league has become the X Factor of leagues mate. You can dance and sing outside St John's market (Dutch, turkish etc.) league for as long as you want and not get noticed or perform a hit in the live shows over here and let the media hype do the rest for you.

For me I would be massively shocked if we couldn't attract those managers. The chance to walk into a squad with Players like Lukaku, Mirallas, Barkley, Coleman, Baines etc. And a good wage is very attractive. My only worry would be if Kenwright went for someone like those names or went for someone underwhelming, but for me Martinez won't change things around and it's a massive gamble to give him another 1-2 years, risk mid table finishes and the leaving of our said quality players with little money to replace them, that's when it would become a challenge to attract a decent manager in imo

I'd prefer to have someone with a superior managerial record than the clown; someone who puts winning ahead of playing boring, stagnant, ineffective football that has brought us our worst league performance in 80 years.

Someone like Steve McClaren, or that ginger feller who was poached by Manchester United after managing to get Everton regularly finishing between 5th and 8th despite not spending a penny for a period of two and a half years.

*Awaits some numbskull to vilify Moyes, as if he was some kind of drastic pleb who had Everton playing like Wimbledon* Rather than recognising that Moyes is a very good manager who dragged Everton out of the footballing doldrums, and was then poached by the third biggest club in world football, and who is responsible for Everton's most successful performance in the Premier League.
