Who do you want us to sign this summer?

Remy is almost certainly already earning higher wages than anyone at Everton.
Other clubs will be willing to match the 6mil release clause AND pay him more.
Let's not kid ourselves, he's not the type interested in being the player responsible for pulling a big club like ours back where we belong--- he's a QPR player after all. He'll be going to whoever pays him the most come the end of the season.

someone to play behind the striker who has some creativity

a defensive midfielder

agood CB. distin has got to be almost finished

a winger who can play on both sides

a striker

He's gone mate. Hasn't been offered an extension to his contract that runs out in the summer, hasn't even been in a squad since wigan and came out with a quote about been willing to drop down a division this summer.

No way is he still here next season.

This really.

I think even Moyes now accepts that he's out of his depth. He will play again this season but it'll be when we're short of numbers in an area, the return of Heitinga in midfield (who did OK I thought) was a symbol of that. This interview with him reinforces that too, as you said:

Everton FC skipper Phil Neville says he'd drop down divisions to keep playing football

EVERTON FC captain Phil Neville admits he would be prepared to drop out of the Premier League to extend his playing career.

The Blues skipper is at a professional crossroads in the summer, when his current one-year rolling deal at Everton expires with no fresh terms currently on the agenda.

Neville, 36, has already accepted an England Under-21 coaching role for June’s European Championships in Israel, and has previously said he will review whether he feels fit enough to carry on playing in the top flight for the Toffees when the current season has ended.

The former Manchester United and England veteran is already a UEFA qualified coach, and while he would also consider managing a smaller club in the manner of former Netherlands star Edgar Davids, who took over as player manager at League Two side Barnet last year, he insists he would like to emulate the Dutchman by retaining a playing remit as well.

He said: “Yeah I think it’s important.

“For me I want to continue playing as long as possible so I’m not embarrassed to go down the leagues.

“I think you can still have as much fun playing in the lower leagues as you can in the Premier League.

“I think it’d be good for your experience to coach and manage down there, to go through the types of things that Edgar Davids is going through at the moment because he’s been used to the best things in life and now he’s got to really coach.

“He won’t have 20 balls, he’ll probably have five or six, he won’t have many cones, they’ll be training on a park pitch where there’s maybe dogs running across

the training pitch and this is where he’ll have to learn his trade again.”

Although from that it doesn't exactly say he's going, it's obvious that he accepts his days here are quickly coming to a close.

I think it's very telling that Neville hasn't been seen last two games.

The ball has dropped. Probably to an on rushing opposition striker if Neville had it too.

Central midfield still needs to be addressed urgently. We have almost no back up and struggle if we lose someone like Gibson or Fellaini.

With Fellaini and Neville set to be off, our already weak central midfield will become even weaker.

On the basis that Fellaini Mucha Heitinga and Neville leave this summer..

Back up GK
CB
CM
Winger
No.10
Striker
At least...

Would love a squad something like this.

Howard - back up Gk

Coleman Hibbert Stones Jags Duffy Distin Lescott Baines Oveido Garbutt

Gibson Fer Osman Barkley lundstrum Honda Donovan/sinclair mirallas Pienaar Kennedy Naismith

Anichebe Jelavic Negredo Vellios mcleney

A bit of poaching would be good at the end of the season seeing as QPR will go down and hopefully Sunderland.

Steal a Sessegnon here, a Taarabt there, you get my drift. QPR will have to offload a few.

I dont see many comings and goings transfer wise to be honest. Maybe Fellaini going for a large sum and a small amount of that being spent back on the team.

If we could get another Mirallas-esque player, I think I would have a crisis, I love that man.

It really all depends on who is manager, but no matter who is I think it will be a busy summer.
Heitinga will be sold if possible as he is about to enter the last year of his contract,it is hard to see him sign an extension.I think that most people agree that Fellaini won't be at Goodison next year, but does Mourinho want him at Chelsea ?
I think that Baines could well move this summer as well, moreso if we are not playing European football. He is inching towards 30 and the thought of possibly winning a championship medal with City or Utd may be too good to turn down.
We need a centrhalf,we need a striker and a dominant central midfielder at present and it then depends on who leaves.

Sessegnon is overrated IMO. 1 in 7 type of player.
Remy from qpr would be a good addition, especially if the 6M release clause is true.
Dunno about tarbatt. Obvious quality but seems trouble and doesn't not start most games because of ability...?

McCarthy and kone from Wigan maybe worth a look.

Some unbelievable goals here, hope we get him in the summer:
