Who do you want us to sign this summer?

1. Aging squad, something has to be done to that this summer.
2. We need a wow factor, we need atleast one high caliber signing ( something like Negredo or such)

On the basis that Fellaini Mucha Heitinga and Neville leave this summer..

Back up GK
CB
CM
Winger
No.10
Striker
At least...

Would love a squad something like this.

Howard - back up Gk

Coleman Hibbert Stones Jags Duffy Distin Lescott Baines Oveido Garbutt

Gibson Fer Osman Barkley lundstrum Honda Donovan/sinclair mirallas Pienaar Kennedy Naismith

Anichebe Jelavic Negredo Vellios mcleney

Back up GK - Lindegaard (United)/Schmeichel (Leicester) - although both would want to be regulars and I would have no problems dropping Howard
CB - Winston Reid (West Ham) - fast, strong, and good on the ball. Being made captain of WHU at the age of 23 also speaks volumes about his character
CM - James McCarthy (Wigan) - IMO he will be the next Roy Keane. Excellent defensive midfielder who excels in a weak team
Winger - James Morrison (WBA) - Pacey, excellent passing, good on the ball and knows where the goal is.
No.10 - IMO we have several players who can play that role - Barkley, Pienaar and Mirallas. I would rather get a second CM. For that position I would go for Leroy Fer.
Striker - Negredo is the dream. Kone (Wigan) perhaps more realistic

Good analysis, too many over rated Wigan players though.

I reckon victor can be better than Kone, not seen enough of McCarthy, if he was as good as keane though, why are they fighting relegation every season.

On Winston Reid being made captain of West Ham (think he's vice captain though, Nolan is captain): he's just been made captain of NZ as well, and certainly does have a mature head on his shoulders.

GK - Agreed
CB - Haven't seen Reid play, but sounds interesting.
CM - Not sold on McCarthy. Another option would be Bridcutt from Brighton. Agree that we need two extras here, so agree re Fer.
No.10 - Agreed. In fact I think this is Mrallas' best position.
Striker - Negredo is a pipedream, way too expensive. I would be tempted to hold off buying a striker and wait to see what an upgraded midfield does for Jelavic and Anichebe.

One player cannot keep a team up. McCarthy to me excels in the defensive midfield position, tough in the tackle but most of the time gets the ball without tackling. He links play well and is assured in his handling of the ball. He is only 22 as well.

Reid got his football training in Denmark at an academy and has really developed. When I have seen him play he looks calm and good on the ball. He is also deceptively fast and can keep up with most pacey strikers.

Absolute LOLS at people saying Negredo is too old.

He's 27 and awesome. Just seems way too good to be true that we could be anywhere near getting him.

Still don't want McCarthey anywhere near an Everton team myself.

Now, Reid I don't mind at all. Has a hint of Lescott about him.

27 for a Striker is PEAK, so really not old at all.
Apparently Moyes is a huge admirer of James McCarthy so we'll have to see if we look at him in the Summer.
Bony/Negredo are my choices for the Striker position.
Just sign a Belgian as well, just because they're boss.
