Not convinced though. He's only ever really played well in the Championship for a whole season.

Had about 4 good games in the Prem in his whole career.

he is still only 23 and wouldnt cost much. i think he would be worth just to have him in the squad

I'm sure that Fer is a good talent but spending 6-8M on a player who failed a physical scares me. CMs who play in England don't seem to have a long shelf life when/if they have injury problems.

Honda is a very good player. It isn't just hype

He would only be coming here to raise his profile though. Soon as someone "bigger" than us came along, he'd be off. That being said, we would still get 2-3 years out of him and he would strengthen our squad (As well as raise the club profile in Japan. It's always nice to have more T-Shirt money)
