Who should replace Frank Lampard?

it’s always the same they say f all
until we are in the muck which are but more
It's probably come as a total shock to the hirer and firer - who ever it actually is -
H&F:
"We have to sack Lampard? and now we need a new manager?"
"Why tf wasn't I told of this before?"

Barer of bad news in best Stephen Fry Jeeves mode;
"If Sir may recall, I did mention the possibility before your antipodean trip"

"Where tf do think I'll find one at short notice, I'm not a kin miracle worker"
*kicks over coffee table and cups, sinks into plush leather armchair head in hands*
"Why me? Why is it always kin me?"

Jeeves; "Because you're here Sir, because you're here."
* leaves the room unobtrusively and quietly closes door*
"Tosser."

For me

1) Pochettino
2) Tuchel
3) Gallardo

Being totally realistic despite all 3 of those managers being free and without a job we are more likely to go for:

1) Dyche
2) Martinez
3) Rooney
4) Moyes (if he gets sacked)

1. Dyche - Would get you organised and keep you up
2. Matinez - Everton fans hounded him out of the club.
3. Rooney - Better than most give him credit for and did a great job with Derby with limited resources and a transfer embargo.
4. Moyes - Dithering Dave as you like to call him, would he really return? I think WHU will stick with him for a while longer.

Realistically, Everton are looking at Dyche, Rooney and Wilder :celebrate:

I've read this thread with some interest and some of the comments have made me laugh. A lot of you are wanting to replace Lampard with Martinez and if memory serves me right, he was sacked by Everton after a fans protest that wanted him out. Martinez had Everton playing in Europa competition (2015) and reached the semi-finals of both domestic cups in 2016.

Others are asking for the return of Allardyce. Again, if memory serves me right, Everton fans were disgruntled at his style of play even though he got the team to finish in 8th place after a dismal start to the season.

Then we have David Moyes, better known by Everton fans as 'Dithering Dave.' Moyes must be the most consistent manager Everton has had for some time yet against the so called top four of the time (Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal), Everton failed to win an away game against them in 43 attempts and was highly criticized for this by Everton fans.

I know the football is awful at the moment and Lampard is a poor manager, but look at other managers who have been in here and did a half decent job only to get hounded out. Everton fans need to realise they are playing for minor places now and other so called smaller clubs have passed them by. The glory days are in the past and will remain that way for some time.

None of the managers mentioned above will return to Goodison, you are looking for someone who is desperate for a job and the only people who fit that bill are Dyche and Chris Wilder. One looks like he should be a bouncer at a local shopping mall and the other is a failed manager at both Sheff Utd and Boro.

You could hang on and get Steve Cooper from Forest, he will be getting the sack soon.

Registering on an Everton forum and trying to sit on a pedestal sneering at fans for a lack of perspective.

Mate, respectfully - try an find something more productive to do with your time. Maybe post on your own clubs forums.

If we could get him (which I dont think we can, which is why I dismissed someone else's suggestion in the last few days) I'd hand Vincent Kompany the job.

Of course that would need massive payouts to Burnley (although he has to have a release clause in that contract of his) and an excellent salary for Kompany. So we're facing an uphill battle.

If the package was there, however, I now think he'd go for it (which contradicts what I said a few days ago!). He's obviously wanting to stay in the north west, so that's going for us. I also think we're as big a club as Kompany would be able to get for a few years. He'll obviously have his eye on Pep's job at City, but so too might Arteta, and that top job seems years away for him. Everton would be a very good stepping stone if he could get us out of this mess. A big club with a new stadium to go into.

He'd obvioulsy need to bring in players and that would be the stumbling block. But if we could turn his head I think he'd come here and get a game out of some of this squad because he has that leadership status. Lampard was a successful player but he was not a leader for Chelsea.

Lots of ifs there and I doubt it can be done, but he's the only one I'd want.

Why are people suggesting all these flashy managers.

1) None of them will be in the slightest bit interested in coming here
2) We have a squad of players incapable of playing football and a serious attitude problem in the squad.

We need a manager who is the most pragmatic of pragmatists. We need someone to not even try to play football who will hoof their way to safety. That is our only chance here.

We sacked allardyce for getting us 8th. The fans are rotten to the core. Makes 0 sense
Allardyce knows how to survive a relegation scrap Dyche does not.

We actually deserve to get relegated.
Pereira out , lampard in lol
Some of our fans are delusional and sick in the head

Hello.

Is this you?

Allardyce and Walsh need to pack up and leave

i would rather have Unsworth over Allardyce. I can’t stand the way we play and lack of vision

I don’t see why people are blaming Moshiri. Koeman did this to us.. smh. We’re getting a new stadium and I wouldn’t invest money in Allardyce either. The season has been lost since Koeman destroyed it. It’s pretty obvious we’re lined up for a overhaul and a new manager this summer. Get rid of moshiri then what??? Have no money for transfers and no future. Some of these comments makes me sick. Hope Moshiri doesn’t read them

Your posts are reported more than anyone else, with a lot questioning whether you're an Evertonian.

I'll be watching your posts closely from now on.
