Who should replace Frank Lampard?

For those calling for Dyche, I see the impulse for a manager who can set us up tidy and protect the club from losses, but I would suggests Pepe Bordalas as a more intriguing hire in the same vein, who may have a little more progressivism. Dyche I think might save us from a drop initially but I see no reason over time we wouldn't repeat Burnley's fate. And personally I worry about him politically at our club. That his hard headedness could become volatile behind closed doors does not seem implausible.

If you look at Bordalas's history with Getafe he was extremely astute in playing the bigger clubs and mustering results with matchup dependent tactics. Broadly his squads were defensive minded with selective counters and intelligent pressing but with moments where they could open up matches. We'd protect dropping points I suspect but also could grow from that into a more formidable side. And after his short stint at Valencia going poorly (for a lot of reasons beyond himself) I think he may look us at a viable option.
Good call. I doubt the club has anyone who is sufficiently informed to raise his name as an option.

It can work though. I just don't think it will if we keep using the role as we have.
Everton is a funny club. Too many levels of interst all competing with each other. A DoF doesn't stand a chance because the owner was never interested in clearing the decks. That's why I've never been inclined to have one for us.

We have a head scout that comes to Bill and Mosh with suggestions.
He has no power whatsoever so there is no point in him.

Brands and Walsh were the same.

The thing with Nuno is that he apparently interviewed well two years ago and all but had it. That surely has to work for us if he's of a mind he wants to take up the challenge (if offered).
It does make sense when you think about it.

Club have previously been admirers, he's worked with Thelwell, plays a style of football that suits these players more than the current manager, Coady was one of his trusted lieutenants. Etc, etc...

There's a world of players out there and it's all about contacts.

I mentioned before about the efficiency of Wolves' situation with managers and players.

Knowledge is power. We obvioulsy have a DoF who's a bit parochial.
You really holding Wolves up as the way it should be done?

LOL
