Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Moshiri has made it abundantly clear that we need stability, get used to it, Frankie Boy is going nowhere even if we lose the next three matches. FACT: He is staying.........

We are kept outside of the trusted circle when it comes to hiring managers, rightly so, so my thoughts are ok give the vote a go. The list is poor for us Evertonians, however we are where we are and let's face that. However Wolves, Brighton and Villa have brought in better managers so they are out there. The problem is whoever you bring in has to work with a poor squad, no money and a magic wand from the Poundand.

Most of the above will not touch Everton with the brown end of a doggy cling on stick. Lets be honest, do you see Poch coming here? Jog on lad if you do. My choice would be Gasperini (the Atalanta Manager). He plays attacking football, buys cheap players and earns a profit, has got a poor team into Europe over a few seasons, had a spell as Juventus manager etc. However if you get him then the board must wheel and deal for loans to allow him to be successful.

I think he's the wrong manager for the here and now. His appointment should have happened 3 or 4 years ago when most laughed at the idea of wanting him back and saying we should never get him back.

Yet now they want him back at a time when he Is probably not going to have the hunger he had back then and will be mentally drained from a very tough season at West ham.

The fans like to put the blame game on the board but some need to take some responsibility for their own actions. Because they didn't want moyes just before he took West ham to Europe 2 seasons in a row. They wanted rid of allardyce. In fact everyone was happy with all appointments and sackings by moshiri and now they blame him for the issues at the club?

Completely agree.

The best decisions to make as a footy club are sometimes the most boring ones. We gambled with 'hollywood name' after name and ignored the likes of Moist and Allardyce.

As much of a gravy chugging slug that he is, Allardyce had us much more solid and competitive than we've been in years. We put him in the bin after he got us to eight. Who would take eight right now?

People's bitterness towards Moist always surprises me. He worked wonders for us but had his arms tied behind his back by our finances. Just look at what's happened since he's left, despite our riches.

Unfortunately I think you're right with him being jaded and drained. I'm not sure if he's the right man for the moment given the knocks he's taken over the years. It'd be nice to be proven wrong of course.

You can’t compare Pulis’ time at Stoke with what Dyche did at Burnley. You really do need to take into account the relative budget available to Dyche, in his 10 years at Burnley his TOTAL net spend was £76million! Not only does that mean he bought wisely it also means he got decent fees when players left - imagine?
Well Moyes ran at a profit in the transfer market, which is even more impressive.

praise to whoever if this happens....
"One ex-Everton manager who is feeling the pressure is David Moyes, and West Ham have decided to approach Rafael Benitez to become their next manager if they decide to sack him (Daily Star)."

Lampard ain't going nowhere Chuck. Typical Everton fans are so cynical and pessimistic, I understand that in the modern day but I have seen it all before, been around far too long to get down over this. Lampard will turn it around and become one of the great Everton managers.

Oh I agree with you on Lampard staying... My excitement was really all about the potential demise of a competitor in the relegation contest.

Frank is not being sacked. A mutual and amicable agreement is being prepared, witth a suitable payoff, and statements of regret that it didn't work out and good luck to both parties. Probably in place before the Arsenal game with a caretaker until a new manager before the end of January.
