If kenwright does go for ferguson he might get lee carsley in with him. I seem to remember carsley saying at the time lampard was appointed that he had been offered the england u21s but was waiting to see if ferguson got the job. Hes meant to be highly rated.

We should be able to shift Holgate, Keane, Davies, Doucoure this window- saving around £250k a week. I’d also flog Gordon- reckon we could fleece Newcastle for £30 million. The bigger issue is whether they fancy a relegation fight/potential championship season next year.

Then they don't sack him they put him on gardening leave and continue to pay his wages but don't give him a massive payout which allows us to be replaced. If he wants to work somewhere else he can he just has to resign. We need and should have been doing this for years.

Do you know if its like a rolling one year type contract? I dont remember hearing that he had signed a 2 to 3 year deal. Anyway its less money than the club would lose by going down. If kenwright hires and fires he needs to get someone in who can pick a good manager coz he cant and its costing us a fortune.
