Its players who feel like they are "owed" a big job because of what they have done as a player vs what they have done as a manager. Arteta, imo, is in that group still as I think he's a crap manager but whatever.

I think Arteta has done a good job at Arsenal tbh. Hes been given the time to mould the squad go what he wants. Got rid of deadwood and players with ‘ego’s’- Aubameyang.

Dyche feels like the safest option - he will know exactly where he is at. Give him a short term contract. When we are safe we can consider a decent, young progressive manager in the summer. Now is not the time.

I did feel like dyche might be the right one but things didn't seem to go too well towards the end of his time with Burnley last season. And for that reason I would feel safer with allardyce.

The only issue is whether Sam still has the fire in his belly.

I would take dyche over lampard however all day every day.
