Who should replace Frank Lampard?

Whoever takes over the job it needs to be someone capable of getting a tune out of the players, has a style of play (and a plan B, C...) and who wants to be a success. Sick of funding the pension of washed up has been managers just in it for the money. So we need a young, hungry Manager who has already had experience either of the PL or similar.

But there aren't any - we missed the boat with Eddie Howe l. Albeit he has been given money he has also spent it wisely and used it effectively to suit his preferred style of play...summat our past managers seem incapable of.

I'm having Bielsa. I know it's high risk and he'll likely take us down - but I'd rather enjoy the football whilst we fail than watch turgid rubbish and go down with a wimper. Also think he'd be loads of fun trying to get us back out of the championship and he'd give some young lads a chance.

Sign me up for the chaos. Football is supposed to be fun.

That's the issue. Bringing in a manager to get them to play how he wants and not how they can is what put us here in the first place.

Pace, stamina, aggression under Bielsa. None of these players have that.

I actually think Bielsa and Everton is a natural fit. Unfortunately we have assembled a set of players that is so far away from the identity of Everton football that I don't think he would be the right choice at all.

Corberan, who was his Assistant at Leeds has managed it at West Brom, our players were fat, lazy, couldn't be arsed under Bruce but totally fitter now and willing to compete trouble is its too late in season now to sort them out , Biesla needed to come during world cup

I doubt Bielsa would come mid season, he preferred a pre season at Leeds and I can't for 1 moment imagine your board doing the technical changes he would want at your training ground.

Plus I know he didn't have a plan B but I would have him back at Leeds in a heartbeat.

I will raise my hand and admit I am a fan of bielsa and his football style with the one exception of his concept of man marking. I also believe that we will go down if we hire him as we just do not have the style of players needed to pull that off this season and get enough points to stay up at the same time.

He will take no guff from anyone especially a meddlesome board. I do like that.

Sadly if we want to stay up we need to go with someone like Dyche who will play the ugliest football imaginable and hopefully scrape us enough points.

Best of both worlds for me is hire a temp to save us and bielsa in the summer so he can implement his system. We need a phillips type to anchor the system and some players with high motors. Iwobi and Onana would do well in a fluid bielsa system.

Interesting times.
Garner would be the closest thing we have to someone in the Phillips role, but mid season coming off an injury isn't the time for him to grow into that role. Agree about Onana and Iwobi, but unfortunately those two are probably the only current players that fit his system alright.
