Who should replace Frank Lampard?

People need to get behind whoever it is unless it's an absolutely ridiculous appointment (which i would doubt)

There is no obvious choice and almost everyone is a gamble. They need all the support they can get.
Despite the media narrative haven’t we done that ? I mean despite us hating soft lad most of us tried despite the ridiculousness of his appointment and Frank was the very opposite of under pressure .

The reason we can’t shift players is because we have paid too much, not other teams want to match it.
We are in global game, but foreign clubs can’t compete with our pay structures.
we blow the water out of 99% of overseas teams playing in Europa league
Other clubs manage it. Buying the type of player that is as happy to sit on the bench as play regular football is the problem. Our wage bill really isn’t that high from a premier league point of view.

Carlos Corberan for me. Big risk but so is everyone.

Has improved Huddersfield and short term West Brom, young and could build a side for the long term.
Huddersfield were down the bottom with about 5 players when he first went there, built a team from free transfers and loans and got them to the playoffs. The key thing with him for me is that he clearly makes average players better.

Yeah we did, but people have strong opinions always on new managers. Nothing wrong with that, but there's no obvious candidate for me, so we have to accept it might well be someone who would be down our list.

I’m just morbidly curious as to how our board (as per usual) are gonna make a complete cake and arse party of this appointment.

However we should all be mindful that’s it’s not just about the next manager and his coaching staff, but rather it’s also about our executive leadership team, our vision and plan, our scouting policy. All of these elements need to be right and in harmony to give any manager a chance at success.

Sadly I don’t see those elements being fixed anytime soon and so I fear the worst . That could all change however if we get Gallardo and then boot Bill, DBB and Thelwall. We need Moshiri to do that before selling up and sailing off into the sunset - then just maybe we’ll be ace again.

We were managed by Benitez so anything is possible with this club.
