Who should replace Frank Lampard?

What's everyone's thoughts on Davide Ancelotti? UEFA pro licence at the age of 33? Is it right person wrong time?

For me, I’d take him.

I don’t think there’s such thing as a “wrong time” on a complete unknown entity. You give him assurances that if he doesn’t keep is up, he can turn it round, then he’s got time and less pressure.

Add to the fact he will have options from his dad for additions, instant rapport with fans. It’s a good option, but of all the options, it’s the riskiest, by a fair distance.

Also run the risk of the name carrying him, so if he goes well, he’ll be linked to a bigger club in no time.

I always think what would Everton do?

I know he’s the front runner, but I feel there’s no smoke without fire.

Does anyone feel Dyche was an absolutely nap to say “yes” to our proposal, so we had to do the interviewing?

I don’t think he was the first choice, or even second.

Spoken about at the start as if we weren’t interested, just feels like it’s the safest option because he’s never turning it down.

Can someone here honestly say that Everton have a tactical identity and style of football? Looking back in FLs games, I have absolutely no idea what our style of football was. Whoever comes in as manager needs to restore an 'everton style of football' - whether that's something new or a return to the old.

Davide - although unproven has a clear tactical identity and existing rapport with our squad. In the short term he represents a good option, but could pave the way for Bielsa in the summer

Dyche - as evidenced by his recent coaches voice vid, has a clear style of football (a boring 442/4411). Having said that I think it's likely to fit our current squad the best and could get the best out of our underperformers.

Bielsa - a huge risk and is going to require a frantic end to the window but possibly one worth taking, if we can convince him to come. He brings with him an unquestioningly attacking style of football and an energy which, if nothing else, is entertaining to watch. We may lose a game or two 5-0 with Bielsa but a loss is a loss, whether it's 1- 2- or 5-0. All I want is to ENJOY watching and enjoy supporting Everton again
