For me, I’d take him.

I don’t think there’s such thing as a “wrong time” on a complete unknown entity. You give him assurances that if he doesn’t keep is up, he can turn it round, then he’s got time and less pressure.

Add to the fact he will have options from his dad for additions, instant rapport with fans. It’s a good option, but of all the options, it’s the riskiest, by a fair distance.

Also run the risk of the name carrying him, so if he goes well, he’ll be linked to a bigger club in no time.

Lampard was a risky, weird appointment but he had far more experience than Davide Ancelotti.

No one is psychic and can tell if it goes well or not?

How much of Davide’s success is due to Carlo completely? Or is it actually hard work and there’s potential.
He could be brilliant, and I guess we won’t know unless we took a gamble.

For me, it’s the inspired appointment I’d have loved. But much like Bielsa, it’s the wrong time and place for him.

Throwing an inexperienced manager into a toxic environment and expecting miracles with a day of the transfer window to go, is completely setting yourself for fail.
