Who Stay’s, Who Goes

i imagine if we went down the club would first and foremost ask every player whether they want to leave or whether they would be prepared to stay to try and help get the club get promoted

not every clubs sells their star players when they get relegated

fulham kept mitrovic
watford kept sarr

we will no doubt sell a few players but we may still be able to keep a few higher profile names
I get your point Spud, but Fulham didnt have the 6th highest wage bill in the Premier League.

And they sold/loaned a LOT of players.

thats why they introduced parachute payments so clubs didn't have to sell all their players as soon as they got relegated

even with our extortionate wage bill we would still get like 50 mil it means that relegated clubs can cling onto some higher profile names in order to try and get promoted again hence why we have so many yoyo clubs

another example is jack grealish staying at villa instead of going to spurs

Our star players are utter crappers though so I’d rather sell them.

Not weird at all.

The Owner doesn't sit on the board.

Chong seems to be doing OK with the stadium, the comms guy could be better.

Kenwright and DBB scream mediocrity at best.

Cheers.
That's why I said board/executive level.

Moshiri has caused this. Not Kenwright, not DBB, whatever their failings or inadequacies. This is down to Moshiri.

And you'd still be wrong.

The Owner isn't responsible for the operation of the club. That's down the board, a board led by our miserable excuse of a chairman.

Moshiris biggest failing was being convinced by Kenwright he had the ideal team in place to protect his investment. That decision is on the owner, he has the power to hire and fire as he sees fit.

He hasn't done it and we are where we are. He's about 700m down, the nutter.

The club, regardless of survival or not needs new executive leadership. To suggest otherwise is utterly ridiculous. Or are you one of the ones who believes we have a board that's revered throughout football?

"what would Everton do?"

Completely #### it up, that's what.

What would be interesting to know is if any players do have relegation clauses with a salary reduction which could potential change a lot

If you believe that, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Our board is useless, no doubt about that, but Moshiri has made catastrophic decision after catastrophic decision. Literally every decision he's made (with the arguable exception of Ancelotti) has been wrong.

Our board is useless, but at the end of the day, it's Moshiri's "train set" (to quote a phrase of yesteryear) and he's driven it off the tracks.

Get rid of the God forsaken lot of 'em.
God bless.
