It's not that simple though right? I'd argue we played 4-2-3-1 recently anyway with Iwobi as a 10 and Onana deep, but either way we're defending in a 4-4-2 and pushing Iwobi up near the striker. And then teams play through you because they actually have three in midfield. Maybe this us better in the tactics thread.

I think pushing Iwobi further forward is his way of trying to get the attack ticking better, look its clearly not working up top, im not saying it is, im pointing at improvements elsewhere.

If the next manager is 30 games, a preseason and a transfer window in and I'm still not sure exactly what he's trying to accomplish long term I'll have a very similar level of concern.

Especially if it isn't really working.

I watch Man City a lot. Everton are my team.

It would be nice if the decision makers weren't tied to the will of the crowd but if we're being honest the main man is really just a match going fan himself at the end of the day.
