See thats where your wrong, if you actually listen to Moyes on the touchline hes constanly urguing the players to get forward.

But you have an agenda, so that point will be wasted on.

Yes, David Moyes instucts the players to play for a point, rolls eyes.

I will accept that at times his tactics are off, his subs are dire and his team selections dont do us any favours, but I wont accept that he tells the players to play for a draw.

He is constantly shouting for the ball to be played forward directly from the back. there is a difference.

i cant believe how many actually has turned their backs to Moyes. thats freaking absurd. (he is no perfect, dont get me wrong) but...
he still is one of the best out there - and he is respected all over. except here, FFS

Those saying Rogers or Lambert now are those who said Coyle and Brown 2 years ago.

Flavour of the month. Nobody could be Moyes but Moyes.

When we play WBA we will get stuffed. Hodgeson has had roughly a year with the team and has created a good team that can play the defensive game and play some exiting stuff going forward as well. Moyes has had ten years at the helm and has left us with a team where everyone who started today was instructed to play for the one point.

Good post .... let's go for Hodgson then ... after all he is a good Manager who failed at Analfield because the RS weren't top of the prem after his first half season in charge.

It is boredom that sets one to sticking golden pins into people

Had time to reflect.

Moyes is a decent bloke.

It's just horribly frustrating watching his crazy tactics and subs etc...

I just wish he'd try something new. This SAME tactic does not work. Why can we see it and he doesnt?! Not only that, but it's so boring.

At least try something different. We all put different formations in match threads using the same players we have now. Some are ace, some are not but they are all different.
Any opposing manager can guess how Everton are going to play when we turn up. It's been the same since 2004. It's no wonder we rarely threaten. They are all ready for us!

Anyway, id be happy to support Moyes more if he just tried different things.

He baffles me Moyes, tactically scary at times and the whole Barkley isn't ready ****e but Straqualarsi is .... Ross is the best player in our team FACT

But I don't believe with the resources Kenwright gives there's a manager we could attract who could do a better job, in an ideal world we'd pay Moyes Off and bring some Spanish manager who's going to have us playing great 1 and 2 touch football ect , but we all know it's not an ideal world so for that reason I'd like him to stay , you can't argue with facts and we always finish around 6/7 th place and like I say with no money which other manager has done better than Moyes because I can't think of 1

Good post, but he would probably argue that it does work. (League position at end of season being the barometer). If that is the case then I strongly suspect that he won't be able to argue the same defence (no pun intended) at the end of this season. Most managers seem to have a default approach which they always revert to when the going gets tough. I'd reckon if he rang someone like SAF for an opinion he would be told "stick with what you know best Davey." I reckon that is why we get what we do just about every week.

I have to agree with that. It just pains me to see this club look absolutely dreadful on the field of play. Entertainment value has plummeted for a couple of years now with no hope of a refreshing change.

I'd go for Mark Hughes. He been here before knows the club has passion and was a forward so wont be defender minded 100% all the time like moyes does. MOYES OUT HUGHES IN

To be honest history shows that Hughes' main concern at any club he's been at has been shoring up the defence, his style of play is very similar to Moyes' and he's probably a worse manager.

the man spends no cash because there is none to spend his tactics are not always right but you can say tthat about most manangers in the we struggle to field a decent first 11 and our subs bench half of the time is a joke , i still find it hard to think who would cope better than him , having to sell players and haalf of the time at the last minute also not getting the money back
thanks to dame edna kenwright , moyes built a young tean when he came but this has aged of the last few years as hes had his hands tied i.e average age of team yesterday 30 years 2 months , so he is back to square one , i think hes carrying the can for the way people above have run the club they are the ****ers that want to be rid of ,i know people will fully disagree with this but thats how i look at it

you look tsome oif the other people mentioned to take over frightens the life out of me roy hodgson , mark hughes no thanks
you look at owen coyle at bolton was touted best young manager around were are bolton now lambert, rodgers , lets just see were they are at the end of the season

I probably share Al Fayed's opinion that Hughes is a 'strange man'. Even though he's played for us, I don't think he'd have any affinity with us. The fans would want someone loyal and vocal in their passion. I couldn't see it working.

Moyse is probably our best option, but it's time that he grew as a manager.
