With his technical director role at the Belgian FA, hopefully he might have learned something with regard to recruitment at the cheaper end. He is going to need it.

I don't think he would want to work with a traditional DOF and would probably want to do lot of that work himself.

I'm more surprised he would consider returning than Kenwright wanting him back.

Martínez was well on his way to taking us down with his non existing set piece/defensive coaching and largely dreadful record in the transfer market. If we give it to him I give up, I seriously do. We’d look even more stupid and inept, which at this point is impressive. He’ll take us down, I have zero doubt.

Give it to Duncan until the end of the year, get a DoF, let him do his bloody job and pick the manager/players to fit a system. What you don’t do is pick a manager who failed previously and chatted absolute wham in his interviews every week.

I will be seriously livid if we appoint him. In fact I’ll give up.

Anyone who gives this fella a chance but refused to give Benitez even 1 game are fools imo.

Blokes a proven failure here and had a much better squad to work with the last time around.

Doomed to fail - even if he started well fans would be waiting for things to turn sour like they did after his 1st season.

Benitez got a chance. He failed miserably. He's made things so much worse in the 6 months we're here and we've now got BK and FM the total running of the club because there's now not even a DoF in place to maybe, just maybe, offer another view...

And Martinez would be a torrid appointment and you're right, wouldn't deserve a chance.
