We're awful mate, the club is broken, its going to take years to fix - im really worried. All the red flags are there and this managerial search is far from filling me with confidence.
I am inclined to agree, because of the lurching nature we've now taken on.

I properly celebrated the removal of Benitez, but knew the coming days would just be repeated kicks in the nuts. I hate Moshiri more and more with each passing moment.

I feel the same. Concerned we don't have the personnel for a relegation fright, we need more than new manager bounce that's for sure.

Agree mate, we need passion, fight and need to be hard to beat, only thing that matters is points. We could get this badly wrong, Lampard, Martinez, Rooney would be a disaster to varying degrees.

Id honestly give the job to Dyce for 2-3 years, he will just get on and manage the football sensibly, despite boardroom mess like he has at Burnley.

Hed also keep us up. We need a ground zero.

We can talk of progressive foregin coaches and the like, but we arent anywhere near the rung on the ladder to be implementing a different sophisticated philosophy for a couple of years, we need fight and basics, but more importantly points.

How would Lampard do without one of the better squads in the division?

Not saying he's clueless or anything but you'd look at his time at Derby and Chelsea and say "yeah ok" and not much more
Everyone saying Lampard did a good job at Chelsea.. when.. he had one of the most expensive squads in the PL and failed badly

Dyche would certainly be the best of the safety first candidates and hard to argue that safety isn't the absolute priority.

He would crawl here I think. He just is the complete opposite of the glamour appointment people want, but it shouldn't exclude him from active consideration with the mess we are in. I'm surprised given Kenwrights previous interest that he doesn't seem to be featuring in the speculation.

Well winning three games could potentially make us safe which is good.
Winning three games out of nineteen I'd argue is not so good. As I posted earlier I worry that would warrant giving him a permanent contract.

Well yeh, but I didn't say only win 3 of 19. I said by the end of the season he could have earned it by winning us some games. Not 3 in 19.

He's bottom of the league with 1 win all season. It'd be another fan meltdown if were in for Dyche.

They aren't great candidates thats why so there are legitimate reasons why people won't be 100% happy with them but that doesn't mean they won't get support when they're here and if they do well then even more so. It's not like people are being sniffy about Guardiola or Simeone every name thats properly linked would be a risky appointment none of them have any track record of doing what we want so it would be strange for people not to question their credentials.
But who wouldn’t be a risk at the moment ? You mention pep and simeone, even they would be a risk right now

I dont agree.
He has faced adversity in his career.
He had the guts to forge a career for himself at West Ham despite being seen as only in it because of his father.
He had the guts to go to Chelsea of all places from West Ham.
He did a solid job at Derby and Chelsea, if not spectacular.

How many people have had spectacular playing careers and not necessarily translate to being a top managerial leader.

No questioning his work ethic as a footballer, but as a manager I just don’t think he’s done fantastically to merit getting our job.

We need a big personality and a leader, and I found when Lampard tried to show leadership the Chelsea players rebelled against him. I just don’t think when the chips are down, he’ll be able to get these performing.

Them buying players in that they arguably didn’t need (eg: Werner) was one of the reason he “failed”.

Had it been up to him he’d probably have continued with developing Abraham, Mount, CHO and the rest - they might not have won the CL but I think they’d end up better off.

Not so sure hed want to come here mate, i think youd have to be off your bin to come and manage here at the moment. Managers are an endangered species here. While we look like what we are - a basket case.
