Clearly in the great player does not make a great manager model. A truly world class centre half, amongst the very finest ever and a world cup winning captain to boot, but the idea that he'd be Everton manager is so utterly insane as to be completely shady or just plain wumming from the red media. Non starter.

Far more worrying and of greater concern is the day to day affairs at Everton and why no one is crying halt to the regular bs seemingly orchestrated by a delusional owner who won't take the advice of sane Evertonians.

This makes no sense when he's done well in China.

I genuinely hate Moshiri - our club has been sold out to slimy millionaires. Whomever is whispering to Moshiri about Cannavaro needs to get away from our club. You think Lampard and Rooney are gambles? This is next level. I am not saying he would definitely fail, but the gall to consider him for this role is breathtaking.

Chinese football is a ball of poo. Equivilent to Scottish lower league stuff. A proper manager exhibits their traits in a top standard. Winning the league with Evergrande in China after their illicit corruption to tantamount to shooting fish in a barrel.

All three of the candidates for the job will get the respect of the squad. All three have been massive players and winners in football. A world cup winner and two CL winners.

And all 3 have managerial experience.

Just make the decision and let's get on with it.

It's Thursday and we have a game on Saturday. Getting something on the board from the Villa game is more important right now. They can start worrying about picking the manager from half 2 on Saturday afternoon.

Tianjin Quanjian was also a success.

Im not sure how its possible to write off a person because they havent managed in Europe yet.

Hes got more experience than Zidane had before taking over Madrid...or Pirlo at Juventus. Xavi coached in the middle east.

No way to know how he would do.
