Cannot believe that some people would have Allardyce back. He was only better than Benitez because he had the entire team defending so we didn't lose quite as much and he was an absolute stain on the club in every aspect and took us for millions. He is not even a relegation specialist any more either since last year, just ask West Brom.

Would literally rather have any one ahead of him.

Problem for Dunc is that we don't have time to give him time if that makes sense?

If we were comfortably mid-table then we could let him work with the team and get a groove going

We're in a relegation battle now and need results ASAP, so that's probably going to increase the chance of us getting a manager in sharpish who is best suited to making that happen. Dunc probably isn't that guy
How do you divorce "Dunc" from us being in a relegation battle?

Handing him a chance to make good on his own failure to coach for 6 years seems to be a perverse way of solving the problem.

And btw: the last person you want on your side in a relegation struggle is Ferguson. I remember his no shows and red cards in the last relegation threatened season we had in '97/'98. He deserted this club with his actions that season.

So we'll get the manager who Norwich City wanted. Cool. We used to be peers with Liverpool, Arsenal, and United, but after 25 years of Bill we are now appointing Norwich City targets as manager. Talk about decline. To be fair to Bill, we did actually appoint a Norwich City manager just before he took over... That didn't end well either.
We hired benitez after derby went for him before they got Rooney. Norwich are better than them.

What’s your actual point here? Norwich wanted him and he didn’t take it. I’m sure Norwich would take 90% of the managers in the league. Chelsea also wanted him at one point too.

Moyes came from Preston. ?‍♂️

Moshiri probably is going to end up opting for Lampard, if the short list in media is accurate. Premier league experience is common factor with recent hirings and he's fixated on names even if they're overhyped (more a dig at koeman and silva)

Didn’t Dunc come out last week and say he didn’t actually want the job as he’s not experienced enough.

Why would it happen in the next few days?

Lampard on a 2nd interview and Rooney 1st apparently this week.

Ferguson says hes expecting 2 or 3 more games.

Do you really truly believe 2nd half we were dominated by Villa? I think thats the wrong way round.

As for Gallardo, if Ferguson beats Newcastle and potentially Leeds + Southampton then we could keep him till season end.

Thats the time to bring in Gallardo. He would be a fantastic appointment.

But now? I think its too big a risk.
Okay Brentford in the cup is a free hit, but the barcodes away is a massive game that will have a big bearing on final relegation places.
We need a plan in place for the trip up to horse punchers central.

You may very well be right. But at least with Mourinho we know that he had it at some point. With Rooney, Lampard, and Ferguson we have absolutely no idea whatsoever if they have anything. As I said earlier, I don't envy Usmanov on this one...
Wouldn’t put it past Everton to announce the Italian bloke cos Kia involved.
Rooney and Lampard are young coaches who hopefully u see what you need in today’s type of football.
Lampard will be less liked then Rooney.
I think Rooney is the go to

Pigeon season mate

Moyes came from Preston because we were in no position whatsoever to appoint a proven manager befitting the stature of one of the great English clubs. That's because Kenwright did not have the means. Moyes would not have been appointed had we the finances befitting our status. Today, we have the means to appoint a person such as Ancelotti. So why are we now settling for a Norwich City target who has achieved nothing in the game?
