I genuinely don't know how you can't be pleased with this appointment. He was successful as a player as a manager got a team to a Championship playoff then moved to Chelsea where he got a transfer-banned Chelsea to 4th with largely unproven youngsters. Does he have weaknesses? Sure.

I guess the simple question would be, if you aren't content with this appointment who the feck would you rather have been appointed? In my mind, this is as palatable an appointment as they've made in Moshiri's entire ownership.

Relatively inexperienced but we have tried everything else in football management cliche term. He has something to prove in management as does the club. And this job either makes him or breaks his management career for good.

We keep on saying that but we keep on seeing it's like literally the opposite. Carlo went to Real, Martinez to Belgium, Koeman to Barca, etc...

Why? Your ethos does not have to apply to anybody else. If he is happy with his employer and that means more than the position then it is his decision.
If position is more important then yes, but not everybody thinks like that.

This is why I rarely post on here. Ask questions like why the hell are we appointing a manager with a poor track record and who hasn't had a sniff of a job for the last year.

As much as I like seeing him around the place and I wanted him to get the job, not to excited with Lampard but he’s probably the best from what I think is a mediocre bunch. I think somewhere
I’ll Preston would suit Dunc, learn his managerial trade at that level would be good for him.
