Tapping up rules are pretty much box ticking exercises anyway. Certainly for players they're virtually impossible to enforce and always have been since the inception of the professional game.

Someone made the bizarre claim in an earlier post that because Lampard once voted for David Cameron against Ed Milliband that that should disqualify him from managing a Scouse club. I’m not bothered about people’s politics as long as they ‘get’ our club and ‘get’ our city. Anyway, Lampard did vote Remain to be fair. And he’s voted Labour in the past. He voted for Brown in 2010.

I really hope we hire a Liberal Democrat. Further down the road an SNP voter and a Monster Raving Looney Party man should also be given the chance.

She was arrested in 2008 alongside David Sullivan but released without charge. Something to do with Tax & National Insurance in relation to a player or two but no charges were brought.
