He was a bigot who found his way to Everton via Liverpool FC and that nest of Tories. He was an alien grafted onto Everton. Cartewr was just an arsewipe of Moores' and that explains his connection.
My mother was a supervisor at Littlewoods in the 1950's, was in regular contact with him and his brother Cecil, and she told me
that he was an Everton supporter.

One of the saddest thing I remember is a picture of him sitting in the stand at Wembley in 1989 with his blue and white scarf on and looking very forlorn.

This is perhaps the usual pre-managerial-appointment optimisim speaking, but dare I say this actually sounds rather well planned? Paul Clement has a great reputation along with another of the potential coaches that may arrive. I'm clueless what we'll look like under Lampard, but I'm already a bit more confident in the regime than a couple months ago.

There's a lot of chatter about Lampard using young players but they have to be good enough. We're teetering on the edge of relegation so I can't see him flinging them in unless we look safe myself.
Yeah, we don't exactly have a Mason Mount ready to burst onto the scene.

Lewis Warrington played very well last game ,I haven't watch more games just that one but he looked competent.

Branthwaite, Patterson, Gordon and Onyango should benefit from having Lampard.

Then of course Id expect there to be a summer clear out and he'll have some funds to rebuild the midfield.

@fandjango

"Didn’t he win a cup and wasn’t he 4th in the premiership when he was sacked … hitting expectations at Chelsea are way above what we require right now"

No he didn't win a win as a manager, and with a brilliant Derby side did nothing of note if anything under achieved big time

He needs to improve our defensive players which he hasn't done at either club he has managed, if anything when he has left players individually look better
