Also fails to recognise that they went 17 games unbeaten prior to his bad patch, or that none of the players bought were the ones he requested.
Also fails to point out Lampard took over Chelsea after a toxic year under Sarri, as bad a disconnect between fans and manager as we had under Benetez almost, then had a transfer ban and lost effectively their most vital player who the previous season as a and in over 50% of the teams goals.

Funny at a similar stage Tuchel is in pretty much the same position as Lampard was when sacked points wise, in a similar huge dip in form, and signs of player discontent have started (Lukaku)

I for one am made up with this appointment. A young progressive coach with a lot to prove, he has good contacts in the game, is very media friendly, which will hopefully help with the club profile and if you cast your mind back to his Chelsea days, the season he was sacked, his team had looked very good when on their long unbeaten run. I wonder, if Tuchel hadn't become available, whether Frank might not have turned it around.

I really am excited about this appointment, possibly even more so than I was when we got Ancelotti, I always had the idea that, although he was one of the best managers around, he was not the right man for Everton, we were a much different proposition than what Ancelotti had become accustomed to. Already the sense of defeat around the club, after the Benitez disaster is lifting, good luck Frank, it's going to be a tough task, but, I think you may just be the man for the job.

Indeed.
You could say Tuchel added £100m of players to the team and has them in the same position as Lampard did.

Frankie being burned to the ground in The Guardian by writer and BTL. Some harsh truths about him. I do hope he has learned.
A lot of dislike for Everton in the comments. Need to start winning to really deserve it!

Having said that, if Lampard instills a them against us mentality and does a young Mourinho act, it might be just what we need.

Lukaku, who they had to sign because the striker they forced onto Lampard didn't adapt and was really poor for them.
