Also fails to point out Lampard took over Chelsea after a toxic year under Sarri, as bad a disconnect between fans and manager as we had under Benetez almost, then had a transfer ban and lost effectively their most vital player who the previous season as a and in over 50% of the teams goals.

Funny at a similar stage Tuchel is in pretty much the same position as Lampard was when sacked points wise, in a similar huge dip in form, and signs of player discontent have started (Lukaku)

I've just written a piece for the site, and to be fair to Lampard he started that 2nd season with 22 points from 10 games. They were right in the shake up. They post at Goodison if you remember, and got knocked off task, and ended up only getting 7 from the next 9 games. Unfortunately, at a Chelsea a bad 9 game run and you're out.

I still maintain, as an elite coach, I'm not sure hes quite tactically aware enough, and a good enough man manager to handle those egos. Its strange as theres a lot of the Moyes about him as a manager. Seems to have quite strict rules, that work for younger, good players, but when he has to show a little leeway to elite players then its not great.

The good news is for us, his weakness is not really an issue at all, and in all honestly even on a best case scenario will not be an issue for some years to come.

14 hours to go before deadline, and a vitally mammoth sized first training session to take, don’t wanna waste any time arsing about sticking Frank in a presser to talk about how we’ve won nothing since 1995 and the one cup final we did get to, he scored the winner against us.

Leave it till tomorrow

You've had the sense with Chelsea ever since the end of Mourinho's first stint that it's a pretty volatile environment a lot of the time. They never retain a manager for more than 2 years and you're always hearing about player discontent. Sure, they've still been successful by and large, but that doesn't seem to matter all that much when it comes to managers. I wouldn't be surprised if Tuchel got the chop in the summer if their form doesn't improve significantly between now and then.

Just catching up with all the Tory chat and just wanted to say how disappointed I am that our fans are choosing to concentrate on that rather than the real issue at hand... What colour are his Christmas deccies?

Rafael since the sacking.
