Not really arsed about when the announcement is made, per se, but what confuses me is the fact that Vinny O'Connor has been at Finch Farm since the crack of dawn and hasn't confirmed whether Lampard is actually there o_O (unless he's been asked not to say anything by the club).

Think training is this afternoon isn't it, so I am imaging that hell be there now (or around now) doing media and then taking training.

Ashley Cole in as a coach

Ad hominems dont help. He wrote a bleak article and I agree he left out some mitigating arguments, but in general it was good to be reminded of a few things like not getting the players to work for him again. That kind of did Ole in as well.

Still, I think Lampard could do well, especially with some more backing from a seasoned backroom coach. I also think that the games you mentioned, he did very well as a manager.

Everything fall or stands with the number one question though: will he put Keane back in the next game? Then for sure he will be doomed. :) (Then again, if he manages to sell him today I will personally bring the phonenumber of my sister to Lamps)
I agree with that but I remember it quite vividly since I follow him on twitter - excessively negative and a bit hyperbolic was what I thought which lead me to wonder in that direction.

As for Lampard's faults as a manager, there were a fair few but I don't think the writer presents a balanced or objective viewpoint. Frank does get an easy ride from the media so maybe it could be thought of as balancing out, I suppose.

I know you have centre back troubles but I was more wary about the left back situation. I have very little knowledge pertaining to Mykolenko but for Frank's style of play I'd presume that he would dearly need a left footed left back who provides some quality on the ball. Godfrey definitely isn't that but I guess not much can be done about left back since you've already got one in this window...

My spidey sense for a Photoshop job says that's a genuine pic.

It'd be absolutely mad if a brushed steel sign is the first we heard of it. It would also be a bit mental to create a fake sign.

it’s been rumoured on twitter quite a bit, makes sense, don’t think it’s shopped but who knows in 2022

Ashley Cole is currently working for Chelsea and Enland u21; reported in the Evening Standard that he wants to one day manage and this has seen as an opportunity for him to be more involved.

He's in

Would defo be pleased with Ashley Cole coming in as part of Franks Staff. Looking like a quite strong backroom this.
