He first started negotiations for Roma in Dec 2019 and finalised in August 2020.

Thats a while...take a look at his transfers since then

Well yes and mostly no.

He started negotiations with Roma in Dec 2019, but then Covid happened as we all may wish to forget. They were still negotiating and did NOT agree to terms on sale price until the first week of August 2020. Then he completed the purchase by the end of the month. If hes agreed to terms with Moshiri in this case and was on the same timeframe as Roma, the purchase could be completed in 3 weeks.

Just look at what football has become.

We are saying we are bigger than Roma. We finished 15th and got more money for finishing there. Big deal.

Roma have been in Europe with the big boys. Won the conference. Playing in the europa We have fallen further than we realise.

Has getting more money become more important than trophy wins?

I guess that is important if you are a money man/investor.
Roma currently have a higher revenue than us.

Only a Saudi state would be able to clear out debt, finish the stadium, and start forking out for transfers.

Been that way for a while.

Twice as rich as Moshiri and a lot more football knowledge and experience. The fella has enough cash to sort out all of our debt problems without breaking into a sweat.

Good enough for me. Happy here.
Doesn’t seem like Roma have spent much since he’s been there
