Everton now have two new buyers in talks to take over the club following the latest collapse, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that Patrick Malone and British firm Vici Private Finance are in the preliminary stage of discussions to purchase the Merseysiders.

They knew about the whole 777 fiasco, what they didn't know was the 'crackpot' they would be dealing with..

Within days of 777 falling by the way side, we had 5 public bids.

Within a fortnight of TFG breaking down we have had zero.

They knew full well what they're going into.

They ain't done yet.

The second time everyone expects it and it is less effective as a result.
I don’t think TFG will be back , the reported reasons they walked away are fairly intractable in the short term.
Other buyers are tentatively reported to be interested , it will be their turn now if they want it .

Depends on the reasoning behind it really, With Roma they were just being clever to reduce the cost.

With us It will be more about 'Mosh' totally clearing our name from any existing relationship with 777 ( Basically paying them off )
'Mosh actually doing that is a different matter tho'. But if he wants out, he's really got to except his failures...
