Looks like the link to TW is done now.
So my advice is for all of us to move on and forget about what happened on the old forum. It's history.
I bet you knew I was gonna say that huh?
I actually meant to say I can tell what people are going to say before I READ it.
Sorry if you thought I was being a tit.
Oh I've always thought you were a bit of a tit anyway
I sometimes feel a bit of a tit too
yeah welcome Gibber and Brownie.
Rest asure that the tone here is humourus, spirited but never personal.
Hell I got away with saying I supported Man Utd as a little kid, even if it was just because they had Jesper Olsen.
I never knew you said that! Mods!!!
Think I explained it earlier on, but can't find the post, so here goes.
Once upon a time in Denmark, a little boy grew up watching Saturday afternoon live footy from England on the telly. His father liked the dark and evil side of Liverpool and the little boy had yet to commit his support to a club. Around the time (mid-80s) Denmark were playing some good football and his favourite player was Jesper Olsen, so it came natural to the boy to throw his support to the club he played for. The FA Cup final of 85 however open his eyes to Everton, liked the name, Radcliffe and Southall, but they had no Danish players so he continued his support to the Devils. Years of bitching from SAF, the leaving Olsen and retirement of Robson changed that and the boy turned to the club he had first seen in 85. So I'm a converted fan, who has journeyed from the devils to the true blue...
... and I'm planning on staying here
sorry Ratcliffe, still dizzy from your abuse:blink:Well Im glad you saw the light, im still going to give the young lad a cyber whipping ***Whhhhiiiiiippppp!!!!*****
Oh yeh and who the hell is Radcliffe?
Crikey, things have moved on a bit since I logged off last night!!!
Here's how I see things...
We had a great forum at TW. The best on the net imo during its peak. We never rivalled BK for numbers but what we did have was quality posts and a great atmosphere. I think we already have that here at GoT, all we need now are more posters and we'll be back to being the best Everton forum. The TW link up *should* give us those numbers.
Now I know there's still a lot of hard feelings towards TW after the whole Garry affair. What he sent to Monty's daughter was a total disgrace. Jim is a fantastic bloke, a credit to any forum and I'm proud to be able to refer to him as a friend, despite having never met. And so to read Garry's e-mail made me feel sick, it was awful. I think everyone else has already outlined feelings towards him in better words than I can manage, so I won't try.
What I would like to say though is that we have to forget about him. I know it will be hard for some, Jim espeically. This is only natural, but we have the chance to get things back to the way they used to be, ie a bloody brilliant forum. Danny and Dylan have already done a stella job with this place, we've been steadily growing since day 1 and with the TW link the growth is bound to quicken. D & D know what they're doing and will work their arses off to keep this place going. And with a bit of luck they might get a hand from me and Cal Possibly But joking aside, now is the perfect chance to move on. As TX rightly said, it's history.
