If someone offered us 4 points from Man City and Wigan last week I'm sure a lot of people would have taken it, but trust us to do it this way round. Feels like a defeat.

Why did he bring Neville on? I haven't got a problem with taking Cahill off but bring someone who's going to cause them trouble, not Phil f*cking Neville.

On the back of playing poorly and seeing the upcoming features...yeah, you'd have taken it.

But you watch the Fulham game...it was improvement. Then Citeh...better. Then the 1st half in this game...turned a curve...

But then Moyes reverted to type.

I'm now going to have a really happy day after that. Yeah right, fcuked my weekend up now, Fuming! Moyes pisses me off, i think any Everton Fan would make better subs than him, why is he so defensive FFS, Neville was a joke, the guy just can't play and needs to retire im sick of him. There were so many ways we could of played better, but no Moyes likes to hold out for a draw as usual. Making Felaini play out of his normal position was a joke, he was playing well up to that point. Moyes needs to drop his favourites, (Neville, Cahill) and play a full attacking team for once and we'll kick ass but i guess with him being a former defender will always have a defensive mind. Why can't he see what all us fans can, surely he can see with those huge bug eyes of his jeeeez. Sod this i'm off out for a drink

Btw im sick of howard killing all our counter attackinf chances by keeping hold of the ball for so long, there was a moment at the end where jela and anichebe were screaming for the ball

This! He does it all the time. He just holds the ball and does a bit of tourettes and waves an arm or two, then hoofs it.

The most disappointing thing about the result today was that Moyes seemed happy to take a point and so did the players. I think the goal could have been avoided if we played with more tempo. Throughout the game there was a lack of urgency and that is what cost us. As soon as they score, we up the tempo and look like scoring.

It seemed like everytime Howard caught the ball from a corner for example, he would wait and give the Wigan defence time to reorganise. Also we seemed to take a long time with throw ins as well. I understand what Moyes was trying to do, he was trying to use the tactic we used against West Brom which was snatch and grab tactics. But Wigan aren't as good as West Brom and we had a better team out today.... therefore should have gone in with a more positive approach.

I think Gibson's all round play was poor and I dont think he will be much more than a squad player when Rodwell and Osman come back. His passing is not as good as the rest of the team and he is someone who contributed to slowing the tempo. Rodwell is faster and technically better so I would put him straight back in the side.

I dont think Howard was fully at fault for the goal, maybe he should anticipate it better but it was a wicked bounce and we just have to get on with it.

I expected us to win today, but in the end a point isn't the end of the world. I quite fancy us against Chelsea as they will play similar to Man City but with less quality so a good performance should do it for us.

i just have to wonder what the squad thinks right now. It has to be frustrating to be on the field and see Moyes bring on such a negative sub on at half. And can we all just quit talking about signing Royston this summer? There is a 0% chance he wants to do that. really sad

From the fact that he got 0 minutes today, yup, surely looking like it.

After such as a positive week, I am gutted.

Why do we have have to put out a team not set up to win. Play our best players for once!!

And attack. Its Wigan ffs.

More than likely.

But I'd rather we win against the teams that we are capable of getting 3 points off rather than hope we get something against the big boys.

It's not the end of the world.

You could tell Wigan were well up for it from the 1st minute and they played some really good, lively football. Credit to them, typical "we're bottom of the league so we need to go for it at home" performance.

We laboured a little, yeah, but our football in general was intricate and technically better all-round. Much of that is owed to Pienaar, and we look a different team with him in it. Great game from him.

Vic as an impact sub is how he should be utilised permanently from now on, imo.

We weren't under the cosh at any point today, and their goal was very fortunate. Again, no need to panic imo.

Also, it was never a foul by Donovan to give them the free kick that led to their goal. The referee made some strange decisions today.

Poor 2nd half after looking at H/T that we might go on and boss it. The substitution had a lot to do with it; Vic should have come on for Cahill. I was hoping we would never see Neville in midfield again other than in an emergency.

Now we know how the England batsman felt like against Pakistan recently. The spin on that googly was awesome, but Howard still should have dealt with it. Then his paw from the corner in stoppage time could have cost us the game. Lucky to get away with a draw in the end as we afforded them too many opportunities to shoot.

At the other end Pienaar slotted back in superbly; nice to see him, Baines and Fellaini playing the triangles again. Gibbo was much better 2nd half than the 1st. Nice dummy from Jelavic which nearly led to a goal. LD was quiet. Take the point and roll on Chelsea.

If we don't concede we won't lose, but if we don't score we won't win. Moyes needs to change his ways, if that is even possible. It always seems to take us to go a goal down, before we even seem to make an effort to attack.

When he throws them, yes.

Sorry, but throws aren't really long openers. I really hope we'd get someone decent. Howard does a few nice saves during a season but his overall contribution isn't good enough. I'd like to see how many saves versus goals let in he's done all season. Should make for a horrible reading. He gives the ball away to opposition so he's most likely the cause behind those too. I really don't like him any more, just another piss poor United reject, Phil Neville of the goalkeeping world.
