Looked on t'interweb - seems it's a Cucumber Spider. Quite common apparently

Were you chasing the dragon when that appeared? You didn’t smoke it by any chance?!

Elsewhere in the garden, a nest box which over the last few years has been used by Blue Tits and then Tree Sparrows, this year has Great Tits nesting in it. (will try to get some pics over the next day or two)

We did have but my wife was gardening near them over the weekend and they have gone a bit quiet - hope not scared off

We had work done on the back of the house 8 years ago mate, wall down, big doors in, the next box was 2 ft above. They didn't give a flying one, just carried on, and the chicks fledged. But during lockdown when we were all out in the garden regularly as it was really warm, they never came near.

Have just downloaded Merlin Bird ID app. It “listens” to birdsong in your garden and identifies the birds you have there. It is pretty good
