Pure mind games this transfer now. I'm happy Everton to play the waiting game as long as it doesn't affect our CF search. We aren't desperate a wide man right now so can wait it out.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to it. The full article says they don't want to sell and want him on a new contract. Can't see him siging one. So it's either sell or have an unhappy player in the squad. The fans have turned on him and all the other want away players, so there's no going back.

Never understand clubs painting themselves into a corner like this. Issuing a blanket "not for sale" statement means that a sale at any price, however favourable, makes your word look a bit flimsy. Conversely, keeping a player who obviously wants to leave, and will likely be attracting bids of dimishing values, if at all, as time goes on is just a bit silly.
