I still think Bolasie still has something to offer at this level. It is very strange how he has been shut out completely, to not even being included on the bench. Which makes me think there is some performance related clause that is about to be triggered. Same thing I think happened with Thomas Myhre years ago, where he was basically 1st choice keeper, then dropped completely out the squad, which it seems was related to a number of appeances triggering a bonus payment on his initial fee. And similar thing happened with Kone too, except his appearances triggered an automatic contract extension.

He showed enough in preseason to suggest he still has pace and power to trouble teams, and he seems to have worked hard to recover from his knee injury. I'm not saying he is equal to Zaha, but he could definitely be an option if he was used in an exchange. The additional transfer fee would be the leveller, and you wouldn't need to go out and spend millions on a replacement. So it makes some sort of sense.

Still don't think it will happen though.
