It depends if Dom can get back into the side and retain fitness, if not, hes screwed.
You are right. but that really is a ridiculous situation to be in for a professional team spending millions on players, scouting, training, new stadium etc etc.

Having no fit forward till now, no competition for dcl when he returns is utterly stupid. You wouldn't do it for an u 12s team and for a team in the hardest league in the world...well.. I'm speechless at how the manager, backroom staff, board and owner can stand over that.

Hiring and firing won't take us forward need a manager in place for a few seasons to build something otherwise we will go round in circles. Whilst I accept he needs a base line of results there is a lot wrong at the club that makes it a very difficult job. I am behind him

I did type in West Ham at first Goat but took them out because I couldn't have put up with the "They're crap, we'll do them" shouts that would have followed.
Im just really down on the team atm.

I look at our fixtures and honestly, I dont see where the points are coming from.

Zero creativity, players getting injured every game, no Striker, yes I know we got Maupy now, players making silly mistakes.

Theres a LOT to dislike for me.

Say we lose to Leeds, and the next game is the Derby, at some point it will be a reality
we could have pep guardiola in charge but if he hasn't won a game in 15 then realistically he's not going to be safe from getting the chop is he

people living in delusionville need to just look at newcastle and how howe managed to turn things around in a short space of time

sometimes you don't need "time", some managers are that good they can make an instant impact

the managers you give "time" to are the ones you can see building something good and playing good football but are not quite getting the results their football deserve, i don't think i've seen us play good football yet in a full 90 mins under lampard yet, maybe brentford in the cup and leeds at home but that's it realistically

I'll judge him when he has a full squad. I blame the board more than him currently despite some of his tactical naiveties most managers would struggle without a forward
Yeah I get ya, but by the same token, he's the one who put all his eggs in the DCL basket instead of making a new No9 a priority. That was a gamble that backfired big time, hence our scrambling around for over a month only to end up with a Brighton cast-off who got 8 goals last season. Plus, how many mangers ever really have a fully fit squad at their fingertips every day?! It's his job to make the parts his does have better as a whole. Defnitely not all to blame, but also, far from question. Jury still very much out on him IMO.

Eddie Howe isnt a good manager Spud.

Something he will and has shown throughout his career.

You can only give a manager time if you hire the right one. Lampard's problem is there is precious little in his CV as a manager to suggest he was anything more than the right face at the right time for the charlatans who run our club.

When he has outlived his usefulness to them - possibly in November - they will do what they always do.
