+1000 Naisy is the key for me as well. Thankfully Martinez declined a derisory 8mio bid. Hopefully, this means we will all get to see the lad putting a real shift in (which is what he does best). He will terrorise Chelsea this weekend when Bobby plays him out wide...he'll run his socks off.

Mate I take your point, the stats for both players with regards to offside are not good but I stand by what I said at this moment in time Benteke is for me the better player, Lukaku is poor in the air and he often bullied out of games by CH, I think it was Arrotheblue who mentioned two headed goals WH and the rs that's only two in two seasons and I'm really sure he out jumped the rs defence to score that goal. This not to say that Lukaku won't go on to become a great player either for us or someone better, but will Lukaku improve, time will only tell,
 
The real questuions should be, Will Kenwright ever lead us to the Champions League?

Better than Messi for me, just his work rate alone puts him miles ahead, another 30/40 mill though and i think Bobby might of considered it.
 
I think that the message RM sent the world when he didn't sell Stones was that we are going to try and compete at the top level. If not this year then within a few years. If he signs the #10 that he said he would in January then we will have a team that can compete with anyone.

We did send that message. Then on deadline day we sent the message 'nah we're fine in mid-table really'.

It's difficult, but not impossible.
We have kept the squad together and added to it with no CL/Europa distractions to worry about.

However it'll take 2 or 4 of our youngsters to REALLY step up and not just fulfill but to surpass and redefine their potential. I'm talking about Lukaku netting 25 league goals, Barkley hitting 12-15 from midfield, and one of the new buys turning into one of the signings of the season.

Money helps but it is not a guarantee of anything, and shouldn't be used as an excuse if we are left wanting again at the end of the season.
