It is hard to judge.
What usually happens is that you end up with mid table teams who are safe playing with their flip-flops on waiting for the summer. Of our remaining fixtures there is only Fulham who fall into that category.
The interesting thing this season is that there isn't really a mid-table. Teams are either fighting for Europe or battling relegation.

There's only really 4 mid-table teams: Villa, Fulham, Chelsea and soon to be midtable Palace. And we'll play two of them.

I think 36 I don’t think Southampton will pick up a lot more. Also forest have some hard fixtures and they have stopped winning at home. I think they finish 20 and 19.
The last spot is the worry for me. I was hopeful Bournemouth would have fell away with Southampton and forest finished 18th. But that last spot could be us Leicester Leeds wolves and Bournemouth I think West ham get safe and Palace are nearly there already. If we win tomorrow I think we will find ourself finish comfortably mid table with Palace and West ham.

We certainly should be aiming for 40.
If you fall short of 40, then you’ve probably got enough to survive, in the basis you’ve hit 38-39. We reach 40, and we’re safe though, it’s as simple as that, I reckon it could be 38.

The optimist in me is believing we will beat Spurs and draw against Utd, but deep down I fear two defeats are on the cards for us.
