First game I have missed (in one form or another) for years.

Doesn't sound like I missed much, I had some family stuff to attend to but normally I would work around it, this week a combination of covid football being rubbish combined with Everton being even worse just lead to me not being remotely bothered.

A bit like the players really.

How did Branthwaite look? Give me some form of hope...

Can’t say about Braithwaite I jumped ship before their first goal tbh. Was with aheavy heart but I knew it was gonna be dung as our players had no heart. They gave nothing out there and as bullshid as this restart farcical nonsense is you would hope for at least a bit of an effort but it was poor. Maybe its the players are just not up to it. For me one of the most sorry turn outs for years and I remember the Mike Walker years very well

Branthwaite had a shocker tbh. His first contribution was to gift them a soft free kick, and then not get close enough to his man when they scored from it.
Looked nervy after that and gave some wayward passes. One great slide tackle on Traore aside, it wasn’t good.

Still he looks like a unit and his time will come.

Its largely the midfield. I think easily 80% of the issues come from there.

If you can't win the ball and pass forward then how can the rest of the team function.

2 new central players looking more and more of a necessity every game.
If we had Scholes and Keane in that midfield we would still have lost

The most important area this window without a doubt to not even have anyone from the u23s pushing to play centre mid is absolutely shocking
