Whoooah...hang on there soldier. Another 39 points to get yet...

Not saying were winning the league or anything, but the nightmare season we had last year seems to be (hopefully) left in last year, onwards and upwards and it looks positive is what I'm saying, after our first game last year I was worried coz we looked terrible but got a result I think it was stoke, this year I'm optimistic, we've got some great players waiting to come in and Richarlison is boss

Lol ! We didn’t play well today . Probably nerves with being the first game . Interchanging passing is our game but today had a lot of long passes which I think is down to nerves. You played well but considering we wasn’t at our ball on the floor sweet passing best probably made you look a lot better ! We will improve I have no doubt . As far as the delusional evertonians go with signing neves , please behave . No chance . Only team that could stand a chance is Man City , and your not in there league , all the best for the rest of the season and luck forward to seeing you at Goodison . :)

Can only speak from experience of playing a similar style under Martinez. The premier league is unforgiving for teams who are not clynical. even if your passing comes off, your lack of urgency and pressure on the opposition should worry you. If you don't change your style, I expect it will start to worry you by the time we get to christmas.

All I'm arsed about is winning no matter what you have to do to achieve it...everything else should be secondary.

Coming in now that the initial disappointment is over, yes I did say disappointment, I think being 2-1 up in the 70th minute you feel positive of perhaps seeing it out.

But.

Reflections

We did well managing the overly inflated ego of wolves, coming into the game like it's a superbowl final, pyrotechnics and Mariah Carey to sing her old hits on half time. We did well to manage that, a confident team is always a dangerous team.

The tackle was bad, but harsh going with straight red, duno what it is about this ref and trying to make a statement, he must have been a middle child with approval seeking behaviour like that, but you always going go be on the line if u (slightly) leave the ground and go studs up.

1 man down we still looked decent. I'm not used to still making a game of it 1 man down, so that was new.

Considering the circumstances, great point!

Wolves fan here, gonna try and be as fair as possible.

Thought we looked really nervous when the onus was on us to create, that'll come with time given we're newly promoted but it speaks to how solid your shape was when you went down to 10. Disappointed we didn't get at Baines more, first half especially you played such a high line and we could've had the running of him any time we wanted - think Digne will solve that problem for you as the season progresses. Richarlison looked dangerous every time he had the ball, think you actually looked better without Sigurdsson slowing the play down, it allowed Richarlison to run at us more. That second goal was the sort of wake up call we needed, this is a totally different level to the Champ, and I think a lot of us just expected to breeze in and do what we wanted. Was encouraged by how comfortable we were on the ball, albeit it without looking particularly threatening.

All in all I'd say a draw was fair but your lot look impressive, and I'm glad we're playing you now as opposed to when the new signings are bedded in. Think you'll hit 7th this season, quite comfortably too.

For me it's probably a red. I'm more annoyed that Jagielka gave the ref the decision to make. Overall we kept plugging away and some really good performances. This side will only get better, too. Under Allardyce we'd have camped in our own half and not set foot in theirs, so a big improvement all over. When we look back we'll probably all agree this was a good point.

Just thought I would come and give some insight on what to expect on Saturday . First of all well done on your transfer business as you seem to have made some very decent exciting signings along with ourselves . May take a month or so for new players to fully bed in but I’m sure they will be great additions in the long run .

On to the game it self Saturday . You have been unlucky to catch us at just the wrong time . Yes we have made a fair few signings ourselves but most of these were loans , made permanent playing for us in our championship title winning season . I have no doubt Costa , jota , and jiminez will cause all sorts of problems to your back line , so who ever plays in defence is going to seriously need to be switched on . Best way to beat us is by upsetting our passing style and be in our faces . If you let us play I can see us controlling the game and smashing 3 + goals past your keeper . our defence was the best in the championship last season, with the back 3 that will most likely start sat. Dont have much concern there , apart from hoping that our cbs can make the step up and continue from where they left off last season . I think it should be a good attacking game , where both teams should be able to get on the score sheet , so think it will come down to who can score the most goals . I like your boy Tosun upfront as he seems to know where the back of the net is , which is vital in this league . My prediction 3-1 wolves with the crowd in full force . Good luck for sat and the rest of the season. utw :)
Nuno is a jarg Portuguese Ian Holloway.
