It’s more about how they are drawing a false equivalence to the mens game. Saying it is a first international tournament victory for England since 66 is wrong. You have to gloss over major victories by the youth sides if you do that. Didn’t the lads win a few European Championships in the 80s as well?

So either you celebrate it for what it is - a major victory for the ladies - or include the wider tournament victories as well.
As we all know, Everton last won the league as recently as 2019

So why everytime the mens team get to a major tournament do they trot out the footballs coming home stuff then?
Under age sport is not seen as major tournament to either the media or 99% of the population.
The women winning the euros is the same level as the men if they wouldve won theirs

Aye, and the Women’s Ashes of equivalent to the men’s as well!

By that logic, why are we all so down about Everton's fortunes lately when we were u23 league winners with David Unsworth?
