Great performance.

Don't really know why people comment about the levels. If you don't enjoy it, dont watch it. I found that a better watch than some of our 'performances' last season.
It’s more about how they are drawing a false equivalence to the mens game. Saying it is a first international tournament victory for England since 66 is wrong. You have to gloss over major victories by the youth sides if you do that. Didn’t the lads win a few European Championships in the 80s as well?

So either you celebrate it for what it is - a major victory for the ladies - or include the wider tournament victories as well.

Everyone except sexists only counts senior side wins. It's not hard to understand.

The PC hierarchy maybe! In terms of actual football it’s incomparable.
PC? It’s nothing about being politically correct, but rather acknowledging the significance of their success tonight - an England team achieving a top trophy.

The standard of football in the CL is often higher than the WC, but which is seen by most as more significant in the scheme of things? That's the point.

Next you'll be mentioning it's a disgrace that they didn't mention Rotheram and the Papa John's Trophy.
Absolutely no idea what you're going on about mate. The men's u20 world cup is a harder competition to win, so it's a "bigger" tournament in hierarchy terms. The women's win today is huge for them and they deserve praise, regardless of where their tournament sits in the hierarchy.

What good do you think it does to pretend otherwise?
Which trophy will most people remember and acknowledge the most - England U-20 WC in 2017, England U19 Euros or The Women's Euros?

Senior side competitions are what is remembered and are seen as more significant. The fact it's been mentioned tonight, for me, speaks volume.

A good point. For me, the World Cup has fallen quite a long way from where it used to be. It often looks like the players do not give it the same level of commitment either.

International football used to be the pinnacle but the modern commercial game has made it more of an inconvenience for the players than anything else.
