Nigeria did very well and you have to feel for them ending up on the losing side. They reminded me a bit of Hungary in the men's game. Very difficult to play against.

Credit to England though. They didn't deserve it on the balance of play but they battled through and that's what you have to do sometimes

Did not deserve to win that today. The better team go home. And that stamp needs James booted out of the tournament but I'm sure the media will play it down.

Glad to progress though.
Every media is (usually) biased toward their own.
You should hear our commentators here (Croatia) and comments in news sections after the games that don't go our way (in any sports we play), its always about bribed foreign refs and silly conspiracy theories.

Its just how it is in every country i guess, patriotism, nationalism, whatever

By calling deliberately stamping on an opponent “silly”, they are playing it down.
I think it barely qualifies as a stamp. She stood on her rather than stamping, there was no undue force but it was sly thing to do.

At normal speed it barely registered and the ref punished her with a yellow, but the red was inevitable once VAR got involved. She was clearly frustrated that she had been impeded and the ref gave nothing.
