I’m not one who thinks the games are the same. They are not. If they were, there wouldn’t be a women’s game at all. But the general concepts, tactics, management ability hold at least to a certain extent. You don’t have to have played at the highest level to manage at the highest level.

The players wouldn’t have it, simple as that. They would obviously never say this in public, but in terms of attitude, commitment, they would down tools. Their ego’s are just too big.

How would this be received in England? Starting to see a little more of this in the states but it’s a slow burn. Given the analytics nerds that get jobs as managers and American football head coaches, why not someone like Wiegman who actually seems to know the game?

She wouldnt be respected by a large portion of the players and would be on a hiding to nothing.
