The occasion got to quite a few players I believe. Bronze, Walsh, James, Greenwood (though fair play to her for carrying on after her knock) were all really poor. The midfield looked knackered after an hour.

They did themselves proud, it was just not to be. But they did great in this world cup, as did my beloved Swedes.

I can easily say that I enjoyed this world cup more than the men's one.

These women are at the top their game and are quite deservedly lauded for that . . but it's not even the same sport.
It bears little comparison to mens football.
